If I Can Abseil from a Bridge, So Can You!
In July 2008, I once again overcame my fear of heights in a marathon parasail challenge on the Humber, which raised in excess of £2000 for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.

Between 1990 and 1992, I completed 3 Great North Runs in a wheelchair. The photographs relate to the 1991 race in which I finished in 46th place in a time of 2 hours 37 minutes.
If I Can Start A Toastmasters Speaking Club, So Can You!
In March 2009, I started A1 Speakers Toastmasters Club in Newcastle upon Tyne with friends Peter Ayers, Mick Rickwood and Tom Fenwick-Brown supported by experienced Toastmaster, Anthony Day. The club had 20 members by September that year and became the North East of England’s first officially chartered Club. The Club has subsequently gone from strength to strength and there are now 2 others Clubs (Elvet Speakers in Durham and Endeavour Speakers in Middlesbrough) in the North East of England that are running as a result of my original initiative.
